During her five-day class at Asilomar, Esterita made me aware of my ability to make an abstract impression of a face (rather than a true replica) out of odd commercial fabrics. When I came home, I was excited to make another one. "Rose" Jane was the result. When she was done, I fell in love with her calm nature... and her sadness. They really do take on a life of their own.
Since several of these fabrics had roses in them - I call her “Rose” Jane.
