One of my first portraits was "Peach" Jane. I used peach colored commercial print batiks fabrics. Working with these fabrics was challenging, and a lot of fun! It can look quite natural, especially compared with the later portraits made with quite bold unconventional facial fabric. I made the pattern for this portrait from the photograph seen below on the table and I am tracing the enlarged pattern onto freezer paper to begin the fabric portrait. A couple of close up photos of the final portrait are included below as well.
